Like you, we loved creating. We hated the chaos behind it. Missed deadlines, all-nighters before launch day, and that sinking feeling of opening a blank doc on posting morning. So we built something better.
Say Hello to the Team
Too many talented creators quit because the behind-the-scenes work became overwhelming. The algorithm demands volume, consistency, and variety — without giving you any tools to manage it all.
Our mission is simple: give every creator — whether you have 500 followers or 500,000 — the planning systems they need to show up consistently, create confidently, and protect their energy in the process.
Content planning isn't about working harder. It's about working with intention. That's what Calend is built on.

In late 2021, our founder Keiko Yamamoto was sitting in a small café in Kanda, Tokyo, staring at a blank content calendar. She was a freelance brand strategist and content coach who had been helping clients grow their online presence for years — but her own content was a mess.
She had ideas. Lots of them. Sticky notes, voice memos, half-finished Google Docs scattered across three devices. But she had no system. Every posting day felt like starting from zero. She was constantly reactive, never proactive, and creatively drained by the thing she loved most.
"I realized I was giving my clients everything I wasn't giving myself. A framework. A plan. Permission to rest. I built Calend to be that thing for everyone."
Over the following months, Keiko developed the content bucketing system and weekly planning frameworks that would become the core of Calend. She tested them with a small group of creator friends in Tokyo, then shared them in a free PDF that went viral in a Japanese content creator community.
The response was overwhelming. Hundreds of creators wrote back saying the same thing: "This is exactly what I needed." What started as a personal productivity fix became a platform, and then a community of 12,000+ creators who now plan smarter, post consistently, and have their weekends back.
Today, Calend is a small, focused team operating out of Kanda, Chiyoda City. We don't have investors telling us to grow at any cost. We have creators reminding us what actually matters: showing up with great content, without sacrificing your wellbeing to do it.
These aren't words on a wall. They're the principles that guide every template, feature, and piece of advice we create.
Confusion kills creativity. We design simple systems that cut through the noise and make the next step obvious.
Showing up regularly beats going viral occasionally. We build tools that make consistent posting the path of least resistance.
Structure frees creativity. When logistics are handled, your best ideas can finally surface without pressure.
Creators are stronger together. We build with our users, not just for them, and celebrate every milestone they hit.
Burnout is not a badge of honor. We refuse to glorify hustle culture and believe rest is part of every great content strategy.
We're a lean crew of strategists, designers, and developers who all believe that good systems change creative lives.
Former brand consultant turned content systems designer. Keiko built Calend's core planning frameworks after years of helping brands grow online. Based in Tokyo, she's obsessed with calm productivity and matcha.
Marcus brings 10 years of UX design to Calend, with a mission to make planning tools feel as good as they work. He's a firm believer that beauty and function are never mutually exclusive.
Priya manages the Calend creator community and writes the guides, tutorials, and newsletters that help 12,000+ users get the most out of their planning practice. She's also a content creator herself.
Tokyo is a city of extraordinary discipline and extraordinary creativity — often at the same time. The culture here has a deep reverence for craft, preparation, and the beauty of doing things deliberately and well.
That philosophy lives at the heart of Calend. Content planning, done right, is a form of craft. It's the preparation that allows the performance to be effortless. We couldn't imagine building this anywhere else.
Our small office sits in the Kanda neighborhood of Chiyoda City — a quiet enclave of bookshops, coffee roasters, and independent businesses that have lasted generations because they understand their craft deeply.
We bring that same spirit to every template, guide, and planning system we create.
Creators who use Calend's planning system consistently outperform their previous posting habits.
